The Division of Quality Assurance and University Performance is one of the important divisions in the Faculty of Engineering. It contributes significantly to the development of the general strategic policies of the Faculty. This Division was established in 2023 and has undertaken to implement all programs that aim at achieving total quality management. One of its most important goals is to continuously strive to ensure and improve the quality of university education.
Plans, objectives and strategic directions of the Division of Quality Assurance and University Performance:
The strategic plans, objectives and directions of the Quality Assurance Department stem from the philosophy of the College, which is based on drawing its future vision and strategic mission by contributing to the achievement of its objectives. This is done through the adoption of a set of measures to achieve consistency with the institutional work approach in the college , and this is done through the following :
• Upgrading the performance of the college and enhancing its scientific capabilities at all levels by ensuring its application of the national accreditation and quality assurance systems and standards approved by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, which are in accordance with the standards of Accreditation organizations in developed countries .
• Strive to spread the culture of quality among the faculty members and encourage the conduct of studies, conferences, seminars, meetings and workshops in the field of quality, reliability and related topics.
• Identify the levels of performance and measure changes in the performance of different departments to know the ranges and levels of quality and reliability achieved through the adoption of the academic description form and course models, where the college is committed to the continuity of performance review and on all levels, in all aspects and paths, and evaluate them and use the results to identify areas of imbalance and develop appropriate solutions to improve the quality of performance.
• Studying the needs of the labor market from the new scientific disciplines and working on developing plans and strategies for their implementation through evaluating the outputs of the college by the labor market institutions. By involving these entities in advisory councils and holding joint workshops continuously and discussing the outputs of the college and working to develop them in light of the needs of the labor market.
• Qualification and self-development of the college graduate to take responsibility and enter the labor market efficiently through continuing education courses and programs and the training and career development center to make the right decision and contribute to community service.
• Helping students overcome problems that hinder their success in learning and teaching and their educational progress.
• Supporting and urging faculty members and researchers in the college to pay wide attention to their scientific research to reach the required level in the quality of education and scientific research.
• Work on organizing, holding and attending quality conferences, seminars and workshops to keep abreast of the latest scientific developments.
• The College is firmly committed to strengthening the individual and institutional leadership roles that drive its scientific and academic wheel, with a deep belief in professionalism and responsibility And creativity for each affiliate to work in a team spirit .
