the Department of Kindergarten at the College of Education for Girls held an in-person scientific workshop, followed up by Asst. Prof. Dr. Muntadhar Salman Gatfan, Head of the Department,
entitled: "Self-Development: The Key to Leadership and Creativity"
presented by Assistant Lecturer, Asst. Lect. Humam Abbas Omar Al-Abadi, at ten o'clock in the morning on Thursday, 4 / 12/ 2025.
The workshop addressed the concept of self-development as the cornerstone of building a creative leadership personality capable of positively influencing its surroundings. It explained how to develop personal abilities and intellectual and social skills through continuous learning, time management and building self-confidence, as well as the understanding that leadership and creativity are not merely innate traits but can be acquired and developed through training and experience. The workshop also emphasised that the creative leader is a person who seeks to develop himself first in order to be able to develop others, and that creativity in leadership stems from flexible thinking, sound decision-making and building effective relationships with the team.
The workshop was attended by the Head of the Department of Kindergarten, Asst. Prof. Dr. Muntadhar Salman Gatfan, and a number of academics, administrators and students, who helped enrich the discussion by raising questions and comments that deepened understanding and the exchange of experience among the participants..
