Department of Arabic Language at the College of Education for Girls Organises a Celebration of World Arabic Language Day (Day of Al-Dhad).
Under the patronage of the President of the University of Shatrah, Prof. Dr. Basim Abdul-Hussein Jarallah, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Education for Girls, Prof. Dr. Afrah Abd Maktouf, the Department of Arabic Language organised an academic celebration on the occasion of World Arabic Language Day (Day of Al-Dhad), in the presence of the Associate Deans, the Head of the Department of Arabic Language, a number of faculty members and the College's students.
The celebration included academic and literary segments ranging from academic speeches to poetry readings, which highlighted the standing of the Arabic language and its civilisational depth, and affirmed the importance of celebrating the Day of Al-Dhad as a cultural milestone that contributes to consolidating linguistic awareness and strengthening belonging to national identity.
This event comes within the vision of the College of Education for Girls – University of Shatrah, aimed at supporting the Arabic language, invigorating scientific and cultural activity, and strengthening the University's role in building intellectual awareness and serving the community..
